U SPORTS

U Sports is the sporting organization for the Canadian Universities. There are approximately 20 schools that compete across Canada in U Sports events.

The U Sports provides a variety of athletic and academic scholarships but the scope of financial aid is entirely dependant on the specific institution. Given the weather in Canada most U Sports golf programs only compete in the Fall Semester and then have the Canadian University championship in the spring. The shorter schedule allows for a greater emphasis on academia.
